Alright. So if you’re reading this blog, 8 date night ideas in Perth, you’re either trying to spice things up a little and are starting to incorporate a regular date night into your weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule, you’re a date night master but after years of successful date nights you’re now running out of ideas, or you’re going on a first date and are freaking out cause you have no idea where to go. Whichever it is, we’re here to help. We’ve put together this blog on 8 date night ideas in Perth to help out.
Now that Wehan no longer works in the evenings and we can spend our time together after work we’ve started having date nights more frequently. And it’s been amazing. It’s so great for relieving stress levels, bonding and getting a deeper connection with your loved one.
Date Night Idea #1. Walk Along the South Perth Foreshore Then Get Your Sweet Fix at Get Chunky
Pick up your date after work and take the time to walk along the South Perth Foreshore. If you finish work early enough make sure to get there in time for the sunset. Before you head home (if the date’s going well) drop by Get Chunky and get your sweet fix. With giant New York style cookies and a cookie dough bar, Get Chunky is the way to win over your date.
Date Night Idea #2. Test Your Team Work Skills (And Patience) in an Escape Room
Now this one may be a make or break, depending on how well you and your date work together. In an escape room, you’ll have to collaborate to discover clues and solve puzzles in order to escape the room you’re in. We’ve never done an escape room before but they look like so much fun! With a number of different escape rooms across Perth you’re sure to find one near you.
Date Night Idea #3. Have a Picnic on the Beach
Okay. Wait up. We know this one might sound a little cliche. But think about it. Can you really go wrong when you’re eating great food at the beach? I mean, as long as you don’t get any sand in the snacks of course! Grab your favourite food, your favourite snacks and your favourite drinks. Then head over to your local beach. Boom. Great food, great views, great company (hopefully!).
Date Night Idea #4. Go for a Quick Hike at Lesmurdie Falls
Now if you’re not too far away from Lesmurdie Falls and you’re able to make it before sunset, we’d recommend you make the drive and go for a quick hike. Lesmurdie Falls is a beautiful spot to hike. There’ll be nothing but you, your date and nature. A hike to the falls is the perfect way to immerse yourself in nature, relax and chat with each other.
Date Night Idea #5. Go Ice Skating Then Snuggle Up Over a Hot Chocolate
I feel like ice skating is one of those activities that you did once or twice for something to do on the weekend when you were a kid, only to then never do it again. But I don’t know why. Ice skating is so fun. Especially when with a date, then you have someone to lean on (or someone to laugh at!). Go ice skating then head back home (or to a cafe) to snuggle up over a hot chocolate. Doesn’t that sound dreamy?
Side note: deal sites such as Groupon and Scoopon regularly have deals for ice skating locations across Perth. Make sure to check them out before you go, to try save yourself some extra money.
Date Night Idea #6. Head to the Shops and Grab Your Favourite Board Games
GET EXCITED. It’s board game night! Board games are so fun (especially when combined with great snacks and alcohol!). So head to the shop and grab your favourite board games. With shops such as Kmart stocking board games for cheap this date night is way to have fun with your date without breaking the bank.
Date Night Idea #7. Show Off Your Golfing Skills at Holey Moley Then Have A Cocktail to Celebrate
Now we’ve actually never gone to Holey Moley together for a date night before but Wehan has gone once with his friends. Mini golf is always entertaining, but Holey Moley adds a whole new level of quirkiness and ‘chilled vibes’ to mini golf. Basically Holey Moley is a cocktail bar and mini golf course rolled into one (at some locations they even do ten pin bowling! – you can purchase combos where you do bowling and mini golf). Doesn’t that sound like a fantastic way to spend your date night? Yup. We agree.
Date Night Idea #8. Grab a Box of Donuts, Go Home and Have a Night of Netflix
Grab a box of donuts (or your favourite tub of ice cream), head home, pull out your fluffiest, most comfortable blankets and find a movie or TV series to binge watch. Now this date idea isn’t recommended for first time daters, if you suggest a night of Netflix your date might get the wrong idea.
And there you have it! We’ve hoped you enjoyed our date night ideas. Make sure to share your date night ideas with us in the comments. We’re always looking for new things to do together on date night and we’d be eager to hear what you guys get up to on your date nights.
