Looking for a spot to eat in Wanneroo? You’ve come to the right place! In this blog we’re going to share 5 fantastic places to eat at in Wanneroo. All of whom are still operating during the COVID-19 pandemic and are offering either delivery or pickup in-store! Our list includes both cafes and restaurants and covers a range of different cuisines. Keep scrolling to start drooling!

1. Flame 400

We’ve only visited Flame 400 once but we haven’t stopped thinking about it since! Flame 400 is an American style cafe that serves over the top freakshakes, drool-worthy burgers, delish hot dogs, loaded fries, ribs and chicken wings.

On our visit we had two freakshakes, a burger and a hot dog. The two freakshakes we had were the salted caramel popcorn shake and the chocolate brownie shake. Both were DELICIOUS, the brownie shake featured a huge brownie slab on top and the salted caramel popcorn shake had a mini magnum on top…. they were each pretty much a meal by themselves so we’d recommend eating lightly if you’re getting a freakshake.

Flame 400 is currently available via online orders on their website, pick-up (simply call 094045328), Uber Eats and Menulog.

2. Cafe Elixir

Cafe Elixir is extremely well known amongst Wanneroo locals (and amongst the entire Northern suburbs!). They’re known as the perfect spot to catch up with friends and have a coffee and brunch (or lunch). We look forward to doing exactly that post COVID-19! Their menu is varied which means there’s something for everyone.

We personally love their warm chicken salad. The salad is HUGE and is covered in cheese, crispy chicken, fried potatoes and honey mustard dressing. And because it’s technically a ‘salad’ you’ll sound super healthy saying that you had a salad for lunch 😉

Cafe Elixir is currently offering takeaway only, to order simply give them a call on 9404 5493 or SMS at 0421 460 388.

3. Eagle Falls Spur

We’ve been raving about Spur on our Instagram for years. Spur is a South African restaurant that’s known for their burgers, ribs, wings and steaks. Honestly, we think their burgers are pretty average (sorry Spur) but we’ve NEVER had better pork spare ribs than those at Spur. We’ve been on the hunt for Perth’s best ribs for years now and we’re yet to find a business that makes better ribs than Spur.

It’s safe to say that if you’re a meat lover you need to visit Spur.

Eagle Falls Spur is currently taking online orders and are offering free delivery to surrounding suburbs (including suburbs such as Carramar, Wanneroo, Iluka, Kinross and Clarkson)!

4. Kalahari

Similarly to Spur, Kalahari is another South African spot. Kalahari is a family owned cafe that serves traditional South African dishes. If you recognise any of the following phrases you’ll love Kalahari: boerewors, pap and sheba and vetkoek. Kalahari serves all three!

We’ve actually never been to Kalahari but have heard nothing but great things about them! We look forward to visiting them in the near future.

Kalahari is still operating as usual and are available for takeaway. To place a pickup order simply call them on 08 9404 6365.

5. Leapfrogs

If you live in Perth, it’s likely that you’ve heard of or have visited Leapfrogs before. Leapfrogs is attached to the iconic Wanneroo Botanic Gardens. A trip to Leapfrogs can make for the perfect day out. On a typical visit you can stroll through the gardens, play a round of mini golf and then at the end of the day you can enjoy a wood fired pizza at Leapfrogs.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic Leapfrogs have launched it’s new ‘carpark kitchen’ allowing locals to order and collect their takeaway favourites without leaving their car! Skip the wait and place your order online or order when you arrive.
